Scholarships for Masters courses in Switzerland

The University of Lausanne (UNIL),Switzerland, striving to make higher education available, is offering scholarships for Masters courses for people who have previously graduated from foreign universities.

Candidates should choose one of the Masters programmes offered by UNIL. Unfortunately, Masters courses in Medicine, Public Management and Policy, and Sciences and Practices of Education are not included in the offer. It should be pointed out that the scholarship cannot be used for additional courses, if required before undertaking a Masters course, and it is not given for Masters programme in Business Administration and advanced studies.

The scholarship’s amount is 1,600 SFr. per month from 15 September to 15 July, for a period not exceeding the duration of the course. If a student withdraws from the course, the scholarship will be suspended.

The offer is aimed especially at those students who have excelled in their previous studies (e.g. in their results) and who would struggle financially during their studies inSwitzerland. However, candidates should have sufficient resources for additional courses which may be required as a condition for taking a Masters course.

Candidates should fill in a “UNIL Master’s Grant” application form and submit an application to the Department of Socio-Cultural Affairs (SASC, Unicentre,UniversityofLausanne, CH-1015 Lausanne, info.sasc@unil.ch) until15 December 2012.
