European Foundation of Human Rights at the harvest festival in Soleczniki!

European Foundation of Human Rights informs that it took part in the harvest festival in Soleczniki on September 16th. The festival was organized by the local government and Culture Centre in Soleczniki.

The agricultural fair attracted many visitors, among them also Poles. Thanks to it the Foundation attracted great interest among the participants of the event. It traditionally handed out leaflets on human rights  (http://www.efhr.eu/ulotki/) and other Council of Europe’s and EU’s brochures on this topic. The Foundation also distributed the Polish version of the educational brochure produced on behalf of the Council of Europe entitled ”Rights and Freedoms in Practice” which richly illustrates the European Convention on Human Rights and perfectly presents how European Court of Human Rights works. The people interested had an oppurtunity to receive free legal advice given by the Foundation’s competent lawyers. The lawyers also informed about the possibilities to actively defend one’s rights.

It is worth to mention that it was the first time the Foundation had used the new tent thanks to which we can receive visitors regardless of weather conditions. The tent was funded by the Foundation ”Assistance to Poles in the East”, to which we are very grateful. We would like to say thank you to all who were with us.

All interested in getting free legal advice on human rights in their institutions or localities from our lawyers, please contact us at efhr@efhr.eu (http://www.efhr.eu/contact-us/?lang=en).
