Newest intern at EFHR – Lorena

Starting from January 2019, Lorena Mosharof is joining the European Foundation of Human Rights (EFHR) as an intern for 3 months. As a second year Master’s student of Communication and Anthropology with special focus on development and transnational issues at the University of Bonn in Germany, Lorena is particularly interested in post-Soviet studies and political transformation processes and how human rights are applied and protected in post-Soviet societies and what role the European model of human rights protection and Non-Governmental Organizations devoted to monitoring the situation play. Interning at EFHR provides a great opportunity for Lorena to get a better understanding of the topic of migration, human and minority rights in Lithuania.

Before coming to Vilnius, Lorena worked as an intern at the German Academic Exchange Service in Yerevan, Armenia where she not only fell in love with the history, architecture, culture and cuisine but also learned to appreciate the post-soviet nostalgia along with it.

In her spare time, Lorena spends a lot of time looking at maps and getting lost on public transport in foreign countries and is excited keep doing so in Lithuania and its neighbouring.
