The European Foundation of Human Rights would like to invite everybody to take part in a creative competition entitled Everyday Europe, which starts as of Monday, 3rd October.

The main prize is a light, energy-saving, 13-inch notebook as well as MP3, MP4 players, board games outstanding books and many more.

To win them, you must use your imagination and creative powers. The subject of the competition is the slogan ‘Everyday Europe’. We would like to invite all pupils aged 1 – 4 to create artistic works on the given topic, whereas older students and university students are invited to do artistic projects in a technique of their choice (essay, film, photo, comic strip) etc.

During the Everyday Europe competition, school and university students in Lithuania will be able to get to know the EU institutions, international law and human rights better through searching for information and self-study.

The competition is organised by the European Foundation of Human Rights as ordered by the Chancellery of the State within the framework of the project: ‘Assistance to the Polish Diaspora and the Poles living abroad in 2011’, with the support of the Foundation of ‘Aid to Poles in the East’.

Additional support comes from: Consulate Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Vilnius, Kamratas company (GRANNA, board games distributor), Modern Poland Foundation, the Polish Institute in Vilnius, Mylidos company, Runmis Hotel, LOTOS,  Vilnius Weekly.

The competition is organised under the auspices of: Consulate Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Vilnius, Kurier Wileński daily, Vilnius region Municipality, Šalčininkai district Municipality, Wilnoteka, Znad Willi Radio, the University of Białystok branch in Vilnius, the Association of Polish Scientists in Lithuania, the Forum of Parents of Polish Schools in Lithuania ‘Alma Mater’, the House of Polish Culture in Vilnius, EU Representation in Warsaw.

The deadline for sending the works and projects is November 20th 2011.
