EFHR invited for a speech at the International School of Law and Business

The International School of Law and Business (ISLB), under its Erasmus Intensive Programme entitled “Security, Human rights and Democratization/Globalization: New Challenges for the European Union”, invited the European Foundation of Human Rights (EFHR) to give a speech about human and national minority rights on April 30 2014.

The EFHR was represented by its intern, Júlio Tavares, who made a presentation about “The role of the European Foundation of Human Rights in protecting human rights and minority rights.” He gave an overview of the situation of national minorities in Lithuania, the main problems they are facing, the activities of EFHR related to the protection of national minorities and its goals and achievements.

Many students and representatives of universities from several countries were present during the meeting.

The European Foundation of Human Rights was very pleased to be invited to participate in this event as it shows recognition for the work we do. We would also like to inform everyone that the foundation is open to invitations for various events, conferences, meetings etc. related to our work. We also offer free of charge lectures for schools, companies and other associations.
