EFHR celebrates the International Day of Tolerance

EFHR celebrates the International Day of Tolerance

On November 16, 2017, trainees of the European Foundation for Human Rights (EFHR) Cormac Flahive, Kamila Kocowska, Chiara Antonucci and volunteer EVS Carmen Cara Lorente took part in the ceremony called “Tolerantiška Arbata / Tolerant Tea” organized by the Social Educational Initiatives Center PLUS.

During this event, EFHR practitioners and an EVS volunteer handed out tea to passers-by and talked with them about tolerance. They shared their own cultural experiences on the subject and could get to know other people’s opinions about different cultures and origins.

Volunteers are grateful to the Social Initiatives Center Plus for the opportunity to participate in this very important event. Participants had the opportunity to broaden their knowledge about tolerance in Lithuania so that they could also better understand this topic.

EFHR organized training throughout the year and participated in other events in which the subject of tolerance and discrimination was raised. What is more, the Foundation has repeatedly provided legal assistance to victims of discrimination and intolerance.
