The EFHR welcomes a new intern – Olga Chizhevskaya

Olga Chizhevskaya is a third-year student of European Diplomacy at the University of Wroclaw. Her biggest interest are the technical processes that are taking place within the European Union.

She is also interested in observing human rights and helping people in unfair situations. Olga believes that the issue of observing basic human rights and freedoms is the most intense in the east, which is related to the historical aspect of this region.

The European Foundation of Human Rights (EFHR) is a non-governmental organization, where Olga would like to see how the processes of regulating matters related to national minorities operate in Lithuania. She is very happy about the fact that while being an intern at EFHR, it is possible to propose own ideas and implement them. Her internship at EFHR will last from July 3rd till July 24th.

Olga comes from Northern Kazakhstan and she is inspired by the success of the European Union, manifested by rapid political, economic and, above all, legal development in the member states of this organization after the World War II. Living in Lithuania is also a very good experience to be able to observe these processes and their further progress.

Apart from legal issues, Olga likes to spend her free time actively. She loves jogging in her spare time. She hopes that she will be able to visit Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, as much as possible.
