Petra Mosetti – the new intern at EFHR

Petra Mosetti is an Italian citizen, former student of the University of Maribor in Slovenia, where she studied Criminal Justice and Security Sciences. During her Bachelor degree, she spent 5 months in Lithuania, Vilnius, as part of the Erasmus + programme. This experience made her decide to move to the Netherlands, where she lived, as a student, for the past year.

At the moment, she is a full-time student at Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, enrolled in the master programme International Crimes and Criminology.

Throughout her studies, Petra learned about gross human rights violations worldwide, why are they perpetrated as well as how to properly address the issues related to the prevention of such atrocities. During this time, she also took part in a research project about corporate crime and corporate involvement in international crimes.

Being part of the Slovenian minority in Italy, made her decide to engage with EFHR, where she wants to learn more about the current situation in Lithuania regarding minority abuse, minority rights and how to efficiently prevent discrimination. Thus, helping the organization in organizing events and bringing awareness of such cases. She will stay with us for a period of 5 months, from September until January.
