Meet our new trainee, Błażej Matuła!

Błażej Matuła is a student of international relations at the University of Lodz. He is currently on an Erasmus programme in Budapest. His areas of interest include politics and diplomacy in Central and Eastern Europe. He is also interested in humanitarian action, having worked as a volunteer with Polish Humanitarian Action on the Polish-Ukrainian border. He wants to work in international organisations dealing with human rights and humanitarian aid. In his free time, he reads classics of literature and visits local jazz clubs. Also important to him is the culture of Ashkenazi Jewry, which he encountered for the first time during a Yiddish course. As an intern of Foundation, he is involved in drafting texts on human rights issues with a particular focus on the fight for the original spelling of names and surnames. Blażej hopes to broaden his knowledge in the field of human rights as well as Lithuania’s domestic politics.
