The European Foundation of Human Rights is taking part in the summer school titled “Using Lisbon Treaty for Building Active Citizenship”.
On April 20, the European Foundation of Human Rights promoted applying for participation in the summer school about “Using Lisbon Treaty for Building Active Citizenship” ( for further information look at ). Law students and lawyers working with non-governmental organizations involved in the protection of human rights may apply for participation in the program.
After careful consideration of all applications received, only 32 were selected, including Joanna Gasiul, an employee of the European Foundation of Human Rights. The training is organized by the European project “Europe for Citizens” by the Human Rights Monitoring Institute in Vilnius (HRMI) (more on the summer school: http://www.hrmi.lt/en/our-work/awareness-raising/summer-school-2012/). The aim of the training is the thorough analysis of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and the concept of EU citizenship.
The training will be held on August 6-12 in Vilnius and will be attended by the representatives from 12 European Union member states and Turkey. The project is co-financed by the European Union.
