EFHR invites history teachers to the “How to teach  social studies” training

slide_szkolenia_bgThe European Foundation of Human Rights (EFHR) invites history teachers and all those interested to take part in a training session on teaching “social studies” as a subject in Polish schools in Lithuania. The training course will be held from 25-26th September at EFHR’s premises at 103 Liepkalnio Street Vilnius, Lithuania.

The two-day training course is organized as part of the third edition of the “Europeans, Poles, Citizens” project. As always, teachers involved in the realization of the project will be given an honorarium. All training participants and teachers involved in the project will receive a certificate confirming their participation in the project/training. This meeting will be connected to a briefing about the project. You can find more information about the project here.

The training session will be conducted by Renata Runiewicz-Jasińska, PhD, who is the author of 5 books, 47 publications and a translator of encyclopaedic entries. Her primary research area includes political, social and educational changes in the Baltic States (Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia); regional and foreign policy, as well as issues related to the protection of human rights, nationality and the Polish community. She is a member of the Association of Polish Scientists of Lithuania. Apart from both scientific and didactic work and research strictly connected with her dissertation, the author is continually keen to educate herself. She completed her post-graduate studies on foreign policy of the Republic of Poland at PISM Academy (The Polish Institute of International Affairs) and graduated from the School of Human Rights at Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Warsaw.
