The awards gala for participants of the “We are all alike” competition

IMG_20141031_170857 - CopyThe “We are all alike” EFHR project has come to an end. On 31st October 2014, at the foundation headquarters, the awards gala for all of the participants of the “We are all alike” competition was held. This was following the “We are all alike” project. We received 32 works which could be admired at EFHR web gallery  since 6th October. There were 9 essays, 9 drawings, 7 videos, 3 photographs, 3 poems and 1 multimedia presentation. After heated discussion the jury chose the best works and these were awarded the main prize:

  • Marzena Szylak et al. , the Stanisław Moniuszko High School in Kowalczukach won a laptop as a reward for her video
  • Ewa Praszkiewicz, Ciechanowiska, High School in the Vilnius region was given a tablet
  • Greta Justyna Pawlun, the Konstanty Parczewski Secondary School in Niemenczyn and Arnas Matulevicius, the Algirdasa Brazauskasa Secondary School in Koszedary both won iPods

Besides these winners, Patrycja Martusewicz, from Konstanty Parczewski Secondary School in Niemczyn, was given an honourable mention and received headphones as a reward for her multimedia presentation.

During the gala one of the EVS volunteers cooperating with EFHR  said a few words about Erasmus + programme and encouraged students to take part in the project in the future.

We are happy to congratulate all the participants once again. All of them were awarded gift sets.

We want to thank the sponsors of the project –  Polish Institute, National Museum – Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, UAB leidykla “Šviesa” who donated some lovely gifts: books written in the Lithuanian language, wireless computer mice, USB flash drives, historical books, books on self-education, dictionaries, encyclopedias, pens, maps, notebooks and EFHR or the Council of Europe educational materials among them.

What is more, we would like to invite all of you to take part in the forthcoming projects organized by EFHR.

Finally, we would like to encourage more students attending Polish schools in Lithuania to participate in th WOS project which started on 8th October. You can find more information about the project here or here: wos.efhr.eu
