New volunteer at EFHR

New volunteer at EFHR

IMG_9696In October Aneta Maciejewska started her ten-month volunteer at the European Foundation of Human Rights (EFHR) to take part in the EVS project “Promote diversity, promote human rights.”

Aneta graduated from Wrocław University with a BA in International Relations and completed her MA in International Economic Relations at Gdańsk University. During her studies she took part in the Erasmus Programme and spent one semester at Oslo University.

She is interested in human rights, cultural diversity and the concept of social responsibility in business, a subject on which she expanded her knowledge by participating in the educational programme Responsible Business League (LOB) organized by a Polish non-profit organization. Thanks to this project she attended many workshops, conferences and meetings with business representatives and non-governmental organizations. In addition, she also organized her own events.

She decided to complete the Vilnius internship at EFHR because she hopes that her experience here will help to broaden her knowledge about human rights and minority rights. Aneta would like to contribute to the protection of these rights and promote them. She plans to work with international organizations in the future, which is why she wants to gain as much experience as possible here.

Aneta loves to travel, experience new cultures and study new languages. She spent the past few months living, working and improving her Spanish language skills in Spain. Before that she completed an internship in Peru, where she taught English to local children. It was an amazing opportunity for her to experience daily life in a different country and culture.

In her free time, Aneta likes to be active and enjoys going to the gym. However, she also likes watching a good film or reading a book.
