Photo competition “Europe in my Region”

Would you like to win digital camera equipment worth up to 1000 euro and a trip for 2 to Brussels? Take part in “Europe in my Region” photo competition this summer!

The competition will be hosted on the Facebook webpage of the European Commission. You can enter photos in two categories:

  • “My project”, open for organizations that have benefited from EU regional funding (i.e. the European Regional Development Fund or the Cohesion Fund)
  • “Eyewitness”, open to anybody who lives in the EU and spots any project either in his or her region or when visiting any other place.

All to you need to do to take part in the competition is take a photo of a project which includes evidence of EU regional funding (e.g. a billboard, sing, plaque, etc., with the EU flag and information about the funding). There will be two winners selected in each category; one by the users’ votes and one by jury from a selection of the most popular entries. Photos will be judged on their aesthetic quality, creativity and relevance to EU regional policy.

Help us to share the information about the competition and show some of the great projects realized around Europe thanks to regional funding. Visit EU_Regional on Twitter and EC Facebook webpage (https://www.facebook.com/EuropeanCommission) to find more information soon. And whether you are home or abroad, do not forget to keep an eye open for EU projects and to have you camera at the ready!
