Europe Day Celebration

Every year on the 9th of May we celebrate Europe Day. And this year was no exception. The European Foundation of Human Rights (EFHR) organized a trip to Vilnius city centre (Łuskiski plac), in order to celebrate this day. We set up a stall, which attracted the attention of many passersby, including tourists and Vilnius citizens on their way to work.

EFHR distributed many informative materials (brochures, leaflets, and freebies) which garnered much attention. Those who were interested had the chance to show their support for the Fraternite 2020 initiative, as well as to receive free legal advice.

A number of members of parliament approached the stall and became interested in the work of the foundation, leading to a discussion about EFHR and our scope. EFHR employees explained about: EFHR activity, forms of support, and cases we have won, as well as Europe and current information concerning rights. Young people visited the stall, with many interested in the possibility of volunteering or undertaking an internship at EFHR.

We would like to express our thanks to all those who have supported our organization. We encourage you to continue broadening your knowledge about the EU and human rights by visiting our website: www.efhr.eu.   In the Education section of our site you can find a wealth of valuable information.

We would also like to encourage  anyone who has legal issues related to our work to contact our  lawyers in order to receive free legal advice within  the field of human rights (efhr@efhr.eu, http://www.efhr.eu/kontakt/).
