EFHR’s gifts for children from the Pabradė orphanage

DSC08277At the end of July 2014 children from Pabradė orphanage received yet another set of gifts from the European Foundation of Human Rights (EFHR). More information about the already organized trips is available on the Foundation’s website. During the July visit, EFHR representatives gave the children i.a. crayons, markers, drawing books, books, toys and puzzles, purchased thanks to private benefactors.

The aim of such initiatives is to make the children happy. We believe children are our future, hence society ought to cater for their security, good living conditions, all of the necessary opportunities for proper development, and contribute to upholding respect for children’s rights’ and interests. We constantly stay in touch with Lithuanian orphanages, and do our best to cater to all newly emerging needs. Moreover, this is how the Foundation’s initiative – the voluntary work at the Lithuanian orphanages – was born, with volunteers helping the teachers to organize diverse activities for the children. As a result, a few volunteers have already been to Pabradė orphanage, and we will soon publish updates and tell you about their impressions.

EFHR believes that every positive act will be appreciated both by the children and by the whole of society. With this in mind, anyone willing to join the initiative and support the orphanages is kindly invited to get in touch and cooperate with us.
