Trainings for students at the John Paul II Gymnasium

On 22nd, 24th and 31st of March representatives of European Foundation of Human Rights (EFHR) Leszek Jankowski and Ewelina Baliko delivered at the John Paul II Gymnasium in Vilnius.

The purpose of this trainings was to familiarise young students about EFHR, possibilities of traineeship and volunteering, introduce youth to hate speech phenomenon and cases of discrimination. Participants of these trainings were 10th grade students aged from 15 to 16 years old.

After a quick introduction about EFHR Attorney’s assistant Ewelina Baliko described a number of cases led by EFHR. Lawyer of EFHR, Leszek Jankowski talked about hate speech, how to spot it and what kind of legal procedures and punishments can be expected by a person displaying hate speech.

The school administration agreed, that such kind of training should happed more often. EFHR wants to sincerely thank the school for the invitation.
