Mayor of Vilnius thanked the EFHR

This year a solemn meeting took place in Vilnius on January 9, during which the Mayor of Vilnius Remigijus Šimašius awarded the European Foundation of Human Rights (EFHR) and other organizations, institutions, volunteers and enterprises gratitude letters for their cooperation.

For the second time, EFHR received gratitude from the Vilnius City Municipality for its contribution to the city development. EFHR was acknowledged for support in translating the Vilnius municipality website to the Polish version and constant cooperation in translating articles published on the website.

EFHR seeks to continue the cooperation with the Vilnius City Municipality not only by translating articles but also by taking part in various initiatives to honor multiculturalism and multilingualism as well as by contributing to the development of an open and tolerant Vilnius city.

We are very pleased that our work has been recognized and that we have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the city.  We would also like to express our gratitude to the Mayor of Vilnius City and the Vilnius City Municipality for the support for our initiatives – a creative competition and an educational project “Europeans, Poles, Citizens” by providing participants with symbolic prizes and by the cooperation contributing to the conferences on national minorities organized by the EFHR.
