The EFHR welcomes a new intern from Poland
Karolina Antos is a 4th year student at the International Institute of Energy Policy and Diplomacy of Moscow State Institute of International Relations with a specialization in international relations and energy diplomacy. Karolina is originally from Cracow but has spent the last 3 years in Moscow, where she gained an interest in political science, human rights and the environmental impact of the oil and gas industry.
Living abroad gave Karolina her the opportunity to perfect her communication skills and to gain insights into the Russian culture. The atmosphere of such a big city as Moscow provided her with a new perspective on multiculturalism and developed a sense of tolerance. Furthermore, Karolina likes working in international teams, especially when it allows her to join forces in addressing current global issues and promoting international cooperation.
Karolina believes that her month-long internship at the European Foundation of Human Rights is a perfect opportunity to gain working experience in the field of human rights and to meet new inspiring people who share similar values. Moreover, it will help her to gain an in-depth understanding of the processes behind the protection of human and national minority rights in Lithuania, as well as make it possible for her to improve her skills and knowledge.
Besides human rights, Karolina is interested in literature, linguistics, cooperation within the Visegrad Four, the European energy policy and she enjoys a variety of cultural activities. All in all, Karolina is convinced that her stay in Vilnius and internship at the EFHR will be a productive and fascinating experience.
